Why aren’t more young girls considering a career in architecture?
Perhaps because they’ve never been told they can. Here’s where we change that.
ArchiVenture is a week-long camp for girls ages 10 - 14 that introduces them to design, architecture, and project management. Campers have an opportunity to explore architecture and the process of problem solving through the engineering practices that connects architecture to the world of STEM/STEAM.
Activities include hands on projects, sketching, model building, field trips to architectural landmarks in the area and tours of local colleges and universities.
By the end of the camp, the campers are able to identify different styles of architecture, explain problem solving through design and present their ideas for the spaces they created.
